What To Know When Buying HD Televisions

There are so many different kinds of HD televisions these days.  You have LCD, LED, Plasma, Rear Screen Projection, and 3D LED.  The list goes on and on I could fill up a whole page on this.  The thing you have to know is that other than the size you want is that there is only a few different kinds of HD no matter what electronic wizardry they use to get it.  Here is an example, 480I and 480P these are 2 of the lowest quality HD yet it is still HD.  The highest form of HD is 1080I  yet there is now way to get a picture in 1080I and the current time.  The best you can do for now is 1080P this is available in 99% of all the tv's. So if you are stuck between LED "Light Emitting Diode" and LCD "Liquid Chrystal Display"remember that they both have 1080P and that is the best quality you can get.  So the technical names that they give there televisions isn't that important.   There is one thing to know about Plasma it uses 17% more electricity than LED or LCD.  So if you have the green bug like most of us that is a big deal.  This is not to say that Plasma is bad it just cost more to operate.

Now how much to spend on a HD Television.  That is completely up to you, I can't make that decision but what I can do is tell you to shop around and look for deals.  The best time of the year is of course in December.  Stores drop their prices and give special financing around Christmas time.  Some of the best deals come the days after Christmas, stores that are trying to get rid of the overstocked inventory also the new HD televisions are coming out for the new year.  The one place where I have found great deals on HD Televisions is Buy HD Televisions so I hope this has been helpful,  and keep shopping.
